pluginconsultancy
plugincinema is a project run by Ana Kronschnabl and Tomas Rawlings of digital media consultancy and FluffyLogic. FluffyLogic is a digital media consultancy based in central Bristol. We work in a wide number of areas including; film, digital media, Internet (and networked) content, video games and hand-held devices (such as PlayStation Portable). As well as running plugincinema and writing 'Plugin and Turn On: A Filmmakers Guide to the Internet', we have written and consulted extensively on media related issues including commissions for The Independent newspaper and consultancy for Sony Computer Entertainment Europe. We work with both large companies, such as Hewlett Packard and non-profit community projects such as Green Bristol. We specialise in bringing together core creative understanding with new media practice. As part of our daily activities we encounter a broad range of issues associated with the fast-moving media world; from new-media business models to open source ideas, for example, FluffyLogic is currently researching and building a p2p (peer-to-peer) delivery system, joint funded by South West Screen, Knowledge West and four universities in the South West. The project's aims are to enable the institutions involved to distribute a variety of media content, both amongst themselves and to the outside world. This is a large project involving the development of new technology, the integration of existing technology, and the development of best practice within and between institutions, within the fast moving area of digital art and media technology.
