plugincinema at your event

video vortex, Brussels
Ana and Tomas at Argos Arts's event 'Video Vortex: Responses to YouTube' in Brussels, October 2007
plugincinema are happy to come to events to present some of the ideas we have and some practical help with web filmmaking. We have a lot of experience in engaging both specialist and non-specialist audiences, and are happy to engage in debates, panel discussions, film showings and workshops.  (You can see online videos of us talking about online video and YouTube , debating the merits of Web 2.0 culture or talking about computer game design .)

Generally, our involvement at events will be in the form of a presentation - as a speaker, talking about films, the Internet, web culture and technology and/or running workshops that teach people web filmmaking skills. Examples of events we have been involved with include the Sheffield International Documentary Festival, Bristol Sound and Vision Day and Your Machines in Glasgow. The costs of getting us to the event vary depending on the nature of the event, where you are based and what you wish us to do - if in doubt, email us and ask!
