The web filmmaking project, plugincinema, is now a part of FluffyLogic Development Ltd. The site was founded by FluffyLogic CEO Ana Kronschnabl as part of her PhD research in 1999. The project was an early pioneer of digital and web creative technology, and has been invited to participate in a large number of events such as Brief Encounters Short Film Festival in Bristol, the Sheffield International Documentary Festival, ISEA (international symposium of electronic arts) and was named by Internet Video Magazine as one of the 'Top Ten Best video Web Sites'. The project has produced the first ever book to look at filmmaking and the Internet (Plug In & Turn On: A Guide to Internet Filmmaking, ISBN: 0-7145-3102-2 Marion Boyers, 2004).
