Throughout the month of February, thousands of you cast votes for your favorite short film in the 2007 PlanetOut Short Movie Awards: Member's Choice, sponsored by Scion.

After voting officially closed March 1, the results were in, and for the first time in the history of the awards, there was a tie. The two films that received the exact same amount of votes were "Check Out," directed by Jenn Garrison, and "Where We Began," directed by Marc Saltarelli.

So last week, we had a face-off. We gave members seven days to decide which of the two films should be the winner, and the results are in!

"Checkout" was voted the Members Choice film of the PlanetOut Short Movie Awards, pulling in 60 percent of the audience vote. "Where We Began" placed second, receiving 40 percent of the vote.

    Congratulations to both filmmakers!
